Sifu Caleb Hood
Sifu Caleb Hood is a well rounded martial artist who excels at technical detail and the intellect driven aspects of our art. He is constantly looking for new ways to add spark to classes in order to make them energetic and true to the street side of things.
Our art is a continually evolving system which is made up of multiple other systems. His thirst for knowledge and love of the art makes him a valuable asset to our school. He is wise beyond his years and his passion is contagious. In addition to holding the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo Tum Pai, he also cross-trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
His Tai Chi classes emphasize balance, flexibility, focus, energy development, martial application, sensitivity and awareness, and relaxation. Through the Tai Chi movements, one gains understanding and ability within each of these concepts.
Sifu Rick Crawford
Sifu Rick Crawford comes from a background which includes American Boxing and Karate. He has a hitting power which cannot be denied. His true focus is on self-defense and getting the job done. When it comes time to address power and all of its deepest aspect, Sifu Rick wrote the book.
Our art involves the synthesis of the hard and the soft arts of Kajukenbo and Tai Chi Chuan. This is a balancing act which can be difficult to embrace. Mr. Rick has gone beyond the doors of the school with the lessons we teach. He has embraced the art in his own life and has achieved a balance between family, work, the church, and the art that most would find daunting. He is a true inspiration to all.
Sigung Mike Beckley
Sigung Mike Beckley began his journey in the martial arts at an early age. Before studying Kajukenbo, his background included training in various martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do, Ninjitsu, and Shaolin Kung Fu. In 1997 he began to study Kajukenbo Tum Pai under Sifu Mark Moy of Vancouver, WA. He later became a student of World Champion Master Doug Bertrand where he received his Student Black Sash. While training under Master Doug Bertrand, he trained in the arts of Tai Chi Chuan and Escrima under Sifus Terry and Judy Bertrand. He moved on to train with the instructor who helped develop the Tum Pai branch of Kajukenbo and who taught the before mentioned instructors, Grand Master Doug Bailey.
Sifu Audrey Beckley
Sifu Audrey Beckley began her Kung Fu training early in life. As a child, she trained with Grand Master Doug Bailey for several years. During these early years, she was exposed to true combat theory and trained with an emphasis on street application. The lessons learned in those distant days have remained a part of her. Her ability to recognize concepts and form them into street applicable self-defense is a true inspiration and makes her a valuable asset to our students and the art.
Along with being a well trained martial artist, Sifu Audrey is an elementary school teacher. She has dedicated her life to understanding and helping children achieve their potential. Her experience in the classroom gives her a great advantage when teaching and interacting with our students. She has a genuine desire to see them succeed both inside and outside of the martial arts school.
