How to Not Get Mugged: Awareness and Thinking Like a Criminal

Fear keeps many people from experiencing fun and new things in life.  The truth is, scary things happen, but should we let that control our life?  Absolutely not!  Also, scary things don't happen as often as the news outlets would like you to believe.  News' job is to "inform", but they require ratings, so they often sensationalize objectively minimal excitement.  That being said, we should always be prepared for the worst-case scenario.  I co-host a podcast with my buddy, a Marine Vet and personal trainer, that addresses some simple things to think about that will dramatically decrease the likelihood of anything ever happening.  Spoiler alert: the main tip?  Awareness.  To hear more about awareness and the psychology of attackers and victims, give a listen.
